Children building and having fun while they learn geometry

Geometry is a basic discipline in STEM education. Recent educational reports, however, suggest that geometry one of the subjects sees lowest levels performance math curriculum. This paper presents gamified itinerary through digital activities designed to teach geometry. Our aim attract Primary School children into world First, we scaffold outcomes take students progressively from geometric shapes stronger understanding complex three-dimensional (3D) properties. Second, use gamification introduce fun learning process. Third, propose virtual environments, with which can, particular, develop 3D spatial perception. Concretely, are immersed two-dimensional (2D)–3D they play role architects who manipulate 2D and create buildings. Results obtained evaluation system 60 showed an improvement both their interest math. Both teachers rated experience very positively.
